Class of 1984:

Class Notes

David Katz (
I am pleased to announce the release of my second novel, The Real McCoy (Koenisha Publications, Hamilton, MI; ISBN 978-0-9800098-7-3). The Real McCoy is set in 1946 in the fictional Connecticut town of Granbury and its subtext is partly inspired by dark events from Connecticuts past, including a Nazi spy ring and a heavily armed Fascist military training base. I have also written the novel, Sin of Omission, and more than two-dozen short stories that have appeared in literary magazines. The Real McCoy will be available on beginning on August 15th.

Thomas Heymann (
Thomas Heymann was named president of the Sepsis Alliance ( ), a national healthcare charity dedicated to increasing the awareness of sepsis and to reducing its mortality, as well as the disabilities associated with the disease.

Sam Liss (
San Liss writes: "I've accepted a position at Harvard as a director of business development. In this role I'll work with faculty -- primarily in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences -- to commercialize promising technology by licensing it to start-ups or larger companies. I'll also build relationships with companies that want to tap into the resources at Harvard. I'm interested in reconnecting with any of my classmates or others within the Business School community."
