Career Services
JD/MBA students at Columbia have access to the opportunities and support offered by the career service centers of their school of residency.
First Year
While attending the Law School, students have access to the Spring On-Campus Interview Program, job postings from public and private sector employers, and the Public Interest Legal Career Fair to help students find a summer internship.
Second Year
For students in the three-year program, On-Campus Recruiting will be available during fall and spring of the second year through the Career Management Center at Columbia Business School.
Through the Office of Career Services at Columbia Law School, students interested in careers in law in the private sector may also participate in Fall On-Campus Interview Program, which includes opportunities with both public and private sector employers, as well as the Early Interview Program (EIP), which is the largest and principal interview program for 2Ls seeking employment with law firms; this program is also available for students in the four-year program. Additional opportunities in the private and public sector are posted in the Law School’s Symplicity database.
Note: JD/MBA students have access to Columbia Business School career services upon matriculation to the Business School. For those in the four-year JD/MBA program, this might not occur until the third year.
Third Year
Career centers at both schools are accessible during the third and fourth years of the JD/MBA program. Resources and recruiting programs are offered by both schools for those seeking full-time employment upon graduation.
