Innovation and the Value of Privacy: Industry Insights Panel Discussion

On Friday, February 5, 2016 the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Center for Leadership and Ethics hosted a half-day conference entitled “Innovation and the Value of Privacy.” This day focused on how the progression of technological advances affects the privacy of individuals. Since companies are able to collect big data and infer from it, they are able to grasp onto aspects of people’s lives which they may believe to be private. This conference addressed how individual consumers can be affected by this type of data collection and what this can mean for society.

Bruce Kogut, Director Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Center for Leadership and Ethics, moderates an industry insights panel between Brenda L Dietrich, IBM Fellow, Vice President, Data Science, IBM, Abhay Edlabadkar '07, Founder of RedMorph, and Claudia Perlich, Chief Data Scientist at Dstillery.
