Geoffrey Colvin is a partner at CEW Partners, a family investment firm with interests in publicly traded securities, private partnerships and companies, and real estate. He previously practiced law at Proskauer Rose LLP in New York.

He received an AB, summa cum laude, in 1974 from Columbia College, a JD from Columbia Law School in 1977, and an MBA from Columbia Business School in 1978.

Mr. Colvin is chair of the Alumni Association of Columbia College and a member of the boards of visitors of both Columbia College and Columbia Law School. He is also a member of the board of trustees of Teachers College and co-chair of its investment committee.

Additionally, Mr. Colvin serves on the board of overseers of the International Rescue Committee and chairs its investment committee. He also chairs the investment committee of the Wohl Foundation and previously served as a member of the investment committee of the Brookings Institution. Mr. Colvin is vice chair of the board of the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel, and he has been a member of the executive committee of the Joint Distribution Committee. He is a trustee emeritus of the Trinity School in New York City.

Mr. Colvin is married to Marcia Eppler. The couple lives in New York City with their three children, Jeremy, Andrew, and Leigh.
