Jake Reynolds '97

Jake Reynolds is a General Partner at TCV, a global growth equity firm focused on software and Internet investing based in Menlo Park, CA with offices in New York and London. Jake has been a technology investor for over 30 years with an investment focus in enterprise software and SaaS. He has been actively involved with over 40 private company software investments in his career spanning both minority and majority transactions.

Jake joined TCV in 1997 as an Associate, became a General Partner in 1999, and from 2010 until 2021 was a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee with oversight for strategy and management of the Firm and its funds. During that time, TCV increased assets under management from $5 billion to $26 billion and expanded beyond North America to become a global investment firm.

Prior to TCV, Jake was a software investor at growth equity firm General Atlantic Partners and an investment banker at Lazard Freres & Co.

Jake serves on the Columbia Business School Board and the Board of Advisors for the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth College. He formerly served on the Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula and as a Trustee at Holderness School in Plymouth, NH and Board Chair at Menlo School in Atherton, CA.

Jake has an AB in Geography form Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
